Grand Terestal Gathering - All The Details We Know So Far!
Share

We announced on our socials, following a live-stream within China several days ago, the news we were all hoping and waiting for - a Chinese equivalent of the English set Prismatic Evolutions! We now have much more comprehensive details from our partners within China on the products that are going to be available, as well as set contents! There is a huge amount to cover as China has really gone all-out on this release.
Before we go into the product details, a quick bit of background information.
You may say, a Chinese version already exists for this set, and yes, it does! But there are some differences. In the Chinese Pokémon world, there are 2 main variants - Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese. Same language, just slightly different variations based on their markets and grammatical nuances.
Simplified Chinese is only for sale in and designed for Mainland China, whereas Traditional Chinese is exclusively for the Taiwanese and Hong Kong markets. The Taiwan and Hong Kong Pokémon markets have been around for much longer, therefore the sets are 'up to date' in terms of correlation to English language sets.
Simplified Chinese only started reprinting products in 2016 and contains sets such as the Gem series, which don't exist anywhere else, to help them provide a unique offering, so they have some catching up to do! The sets don't confirm like-for-like to their English or Japanese counterparts, but they all 'blend' into cards we already know and love, being the chases. What's great about this is it gives us a chance to grab artwork from sets which we either couldn't pull from English language packs, or cards that are crazy expensive and hard to get!
This release is probably going to be one of the biggest and most significant Simplified Chinese releases, because we all remember the chaos that was obtaining any form of Prismatic Evolutions. This is our second chance! Now let's look at what's being released, because it's far more product than we got for the English language release and it's INCREDIBLE.
COIN SETS

Similar to 151 Coin Sets, these coin sets will contain a 10 card booster, a coin, and a shiny card equivalent to the character on the pack. There are a total of 10 coin variants for each character, including a gold variant with only a 1% odds of pulling!

COLLECTORS CASE BADGE SETS

This is where it gets really interesting. We've had tins before but never have we had tiered rarity tins. Each box contains 2 booster packs (10 card), a metal badge, and a damage counter case. There are 3 tiers of rarity with the counter case tins, each with their own designs and pull rates.
Standard - 90%, Hidden - 7.5%, Super-Hidden 2.5%

PIN SETS

Tiered rarity pins are again a new one for Chinese Pokémon TCG sets. These packs are similar in dimension to the coin set boxes with a similar packaging design. Each box contains a booster pack (10 card) and a pin. There are 8 standard pin designs and 1 secret design per Pokémon. The probability of pulling the secret design is 1%, similar to the collectors' case tin secret odds.

QUICKSAND DISPLAY GIFT BOXES

This is the one we are most excited for! There hasn't been a quicksand product since the Pikachu and Eevee Together: Quicksand Card Display Pendant Gift Box in 2024 which we previously stocked and adored. This time around, like this one this is going to be a blind box product, so which one you get is a surprise. To add further odds, there are 3 different designs per character including a secret design with only a 10% pull rate.
Each box comes with 2 booster packs (10 card), a holo card and one card display quicksand keyring. Something else to add is that the previous quicksand products were not also card holders, they were just a quicksand keyring so this is truly special!

ALBUM GIFT BOXES

Sylveon binder seekers, this one's for you! China released this kind of product before, and it disappeared so quickly, especially the Sylveon and Espeon variants. From the information we have, they will be very similar in both size and appearance, with soft padded features, similar to the previous line. There are 9 in total, one for each character. AND this release comes with 8 booster packs (10 cards) and correlating sleeves, which the previous releases didn't! These are going to be god-tier collecting organisational products.

EEVEE & FRIENDS COLLECTORS GIFT BOX

The premium high-ticket item from the release, and its certainly worth it. Contains 15 booster packs (10 cards), an Espeon ex promo, an Umbreon ex promo, a playmat, a playmat storage case, a deck box with one card divider, a pack of 64 card sleeves, a damage counter case, 9 damage-counter dice, a coin flip dice, a metal magnetic coin, a Poison marker, and a Burn marker.

EXCLUSIVE CARDS

The real reason there is so much hype - this exclusive Sylveon SAR which is extremely unlikely to be released anywhere else in the world or in any other set due to this likely being the last prismatic release of the series. The flowers, the tera crystals, the colours, the rainbow edging with it, it's just perfect.
All in all - A LOT to be excited about and still a lot to be uncovered, we will as always keep you updated as and when we receive any information and we will be endeavouring to get as much of these in as we can for you!
